Yoga in the Park
Spring through Fall
Every spring the parks come alive not only with daffodils and tulips but also with our Saturday Alfresco Yoga Series. Residents and visitors alike are welcome to join our Saturday morning classes taught by Charlie Beall, of the Downtown Athletic Club. Participants are asked to bring their own mats. Our yoga series ,which is sponsored by Merritt's Down Town Club begins in May weather permitting and continues until mid October. There is no charge for Yoga Alfreco. East Park 2008 SUMMER MOVIE SERIES
Friends of Mount Vernon Place is proud to present the EAST PARK 2008 SUMMER MOVIE SERIES again this year. Come one come all to the East Park across from the Peabody at dusk on three Wednesday evenings July 16, July 30 and August 6th. The movies are brought to you free of charge by the all volunteer group who care for and maintain this fragile urban space. If you enjoy this summer series and support the year round work that we do we ask only that you consider joining us a member or perhaps as volunteer! The 8th Annual Holly Tour

The 2008 Holly Tour returns through the generous sponsorship on Monumental Life Insurance. Our neighborhood focus this year will be around the north park. New this year will be a $50 VIP ticket that will include courtesy parking next door to the registration sight, the option of a "guided" day time tour, plus a late afternoon cocktail reception with conversations with noted local historians.
