The Friends of Mount Vernon Place, a membership organization, is dedicated to the conservation and revitalization of the Mount Vernon Place parks to make them more civil public spaces. Our purpose is to enable residents and visitors to enjoy the wealth of natural beauty, historical significance and cultural resources of Mount Vernon Place in Baltimore, Maryland.

Events
Please join us for our SUMMER ENTERTAINMENT series in the WEST Mount Vernon Place Park—weekly yoga, musical performances and top rated movies on a large inflatable screen! All Events are FREE! Click here for more info!
- YOGA every Saturday morning from 8:30 am – 9:30 am. Bring your own mat and water bottle!
- June 29th: Classical Guitarist (7:00 pm)
- July 6th: The Blind Side (8:30 pm)
- July 13th: The Dahlia Flute Duo (7:00 pm)
- July 20th: The King’s Speech (8:30 pm)
- July 27th: Jazz Ensemble (7:00 pm)
Enjoy a stroll in the parks and please take note of the many improvements that will be implemented over the next few weeks:
- 46 beautiful hanging baskets will be installed on park lamp posts
- New beds will be planted in the North and South Parks, and coordinating flora will be planted in the braziers (large cast iron urns) around the monument and additional urns located in the parks.
- All of the benches will be repaired and painted, with the exception of three that will be removed.
- 8 new Parisian table and chair sets will be installed.
- The trees will be inspected and pruned, and the bushes will be pruned back as well.
